European Christianity in the Cold War with Dr. Simon Unger

What did it mean to live out the Christian faith in a world divided by the Cold War? Join us for a Faculty Conversation featuring European Christianity in the Cold War with Dr. Simon Unger. Together, we will engage the historical context of Christianity in Europe during the Cold War era and consider how theological study approaches questions of faith, history, and public life within periods of global tension. 

Through historical study and discussion, participants will explore how Christian thought and practice have been shaped by political and social change. Participants will also gain a sense of how faculty at Princeton Theological Seminary approach historical study as a vital component of theological education. 

This session offers prospective students an opportunity to experience how historical study shapes theological education and deepens our understanding of the Church's past and present. Participants are invited to listen, reflect, and engage as they consider what historically grounded theological study looks like within our academic community.
